Review on Gates 90K 38131 Complete Serpentine Kit by Jeremy Reddick

I use Gates Green Stripe belts solely for their consistent high quality and value. Other brands can do well too, but I know Gates and they've never let me down. I have used them on my 1964 Pontiac 389ci Big Block and 1985 Yanmar 3QM30H Marine Diesel with great success. Both applications are tough on the belts, but the Yanmar diesel engine drives the alternator at high amps and the Gates single belt grips like a champ. So I ignored the cheaper belt and tensioner options and went with this Gates brand belt and tensioner combo to drown out the squeaking under the hood of my 92 F150. Now this in-line six runs as smooth as a sewing machine. It's not worth saving a few bucks for an offshore special. In fact, I've never had to change a Gates belt!
