I researched and bought this unit because of the lower profile hardware and adjustable angles. I especially like the finger grip base which works great in my 2013 RAM 1500 console cup holder. I also bought a 12V QI 3.0 metal charger and wrapped the power cord around the base of the mount to shorten the extra cable. It fits neatly without that pesky charging cable bunching up or hanging down oddly. The holder and its auto mount work great on my iPhone 11 Pro Max with Apple leather case. I bought two other "protected" iPhone cases, Supcase UB Pro and Spigen Tough Armor. Wireless charging works great in each of these cases when charging on my desktop device. They also work great when I use them with the iOttie wireless charger in our other car, but they do NOT work in TopGo. general. In fact, TopGo's grips barely open enough for one of these cases to get a proper grip, and the grips do NOT automatically close when detecting the phone is in the stand. At first I thought it was the cases, but disproved that theory by using it on my Qi 3.0 desktop wireless charger and iOttie 3.0 wireless charger. Then I found that the TopGo base wasn't strong enough for the sensor in the iPhone to work effectively through the case. Since I really like the TopGo more as a thicker and more protective case than my Apple leather case, I decided to keep the TopGo and go back to using the Apple leather case. In my opinion, TopGo needs a better sensor to be able to use it with protective cases.
