My daughter has been wearing Capezio Pirouettes for many years. currently. And now she only wears one, on a rotating leg. Now she wears women's shoes in size 5-5.5 and since girls wear size 4, she prefers Lg. She has a little wide foot. However, I am a woman of 8.5-9 and can wear a size M. I once tried to show her that she can still wear M but she prefers Lg. I don't want to confuse you but if your child is a girls size 4-9 then the Lg will fit perfectly. I made the mistake of buying the XL a year ago thinking it was a kid size and huge! Size 9+ adult! So again, these are adult shoes, but adult children wear this model. xtx!
