I have bought 2 pairs of the 8" short. Black and Navy. I liked the 1st one ( black ) so much I went and bought a 2nd short in navy. I am in between L and XL I think and went with the XL. I am not 6'1" . and maybe that is why the waist band rides higher than my belly button (which is not what the pictures show of the model - shows below belly button). But I like having something NOT compressing my stomach area a lot - so the XL is fine. I like that the material is a tad lighter than another popular brand on Best Buy that I have also purchased. I think this brand is more comfy. The waist band does NOT roll down.The black is typical black. The navy is not really a navy. It looks more like a medium grey with hint of blue in it. So a very faded navy maybe? Looks fine, just not a traditional navy blue color.I use this for jogging and it is perfect. Love the deep pockets too. No chafing or scratchiness.I like the 8 inch length. I have washed them both and they come out fine . I DO NOT dry. Line dry only. But they dry fast.I'd recommend.update 7/4/21 . I ordered the PURPLE also, but unfortunately they sent the "dusty rose" colored short in a packaging labeled PURPLE. hmmm. I contacted seller who was great. They offered to send me out a PURPLE right away and just keep the "pink" that was sent in error. The new pkg just arrived .Yep, package says purple but the item is "pink" .again.** Nice effort by seller but somewhere in the manufacturing/packaging set up they have a part order problem and keep putting the Pink in the Purple packaging. I will be returning .
