Luminara candles are always a great choice. Yes, they are more expensive, but my experience is that they last much longer than the cheaper knock-offs.These candles are made to be used outdoors, so the body is plastic, unlike the indoor versions which are made of real candle wax. These will hold up much better for outdoor use.Like all of this brand, they give the look of real candles with the lighted ‘flicker’ feature. You soon forget they aren’t candle flames. I love to burn candles, but I worry about the health effects of breathing the products of burning wax, whether it’s the petrochemical sort or natural, like bees wax or soy wax. These flameless candles do away with the health risks, yet provide the same lovely ambiance of real burning candles.The remote with timer feature is great. You can set how long you want them to burn and they will turn themselves off. In addition, if I set them to come on for three hours at 6 pm today, they will automatically turn themselves on for three hours the next day and each day thereafter until I change the timer. It’s a very handy feature. You don’t have to manually turn on each candle. That’s especially helpful if you have a large grouping of them.I love these candles and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
