The best thing about this software is that it gives me a way to find DWG files even if I don't remember the CAD project. This is a great tool for any engineer who works on projects where many people collaborate, especially when the files change hands often. The program has saved my butt countless times when I lost a critical drawing, or worse, didn't realize until too late that I had made a mistake. I really like how the "History" feature shows all changes since the last time you opened the file. In some cases, having access to those older versions is helpful because they show you something was added later than originally thought. That's why there should always be at least two copies of each file!
Pros
- This is a great tool if you are working on projects where many people collaborate, especially when the files change hands often.
- This feature would help me if I lose my copy of a critical drawing.
Cons
- Sometimes it takes awhile to find DWGs that I'm looking for
- Sometimes I can't find the DWG after saving a history of the document
