I needed a decent travel magnifying mirror to help me apply eyeliner and other makeup. I already have a large magnifying mirror on a pedestal in my bathroom. It works great but is too bulky to carry and doesn't have a protective case. So I use small, compact mirrors where the magnifying side isn't powerful enough to do the job. I decided to buy this adjustable lighted street mirror to solve my problem. I love its style, its compactness when closed and its ability to adapt to any position. The only downside to this product is that it's too big! You need to put the mirror THIS CLOSER TO YOUR FACE so you can see your face and eyes without distortion. It is EXTREMELY embarrassing to be so close to this mirror, almost dizzy. Yes, if you can manage to get this product that close to your eyeballs, you can definitely put on eye makeup, etc. In fact, I think you could have facial surgery. This mirror is so strong! Ha! The manufacturer should refer to this product as "MICROSCOPE". It's just ridiculously too strong for me. And yes, DO NOT USE LIGHT when applying makeup or looking at your face AS YOU WILL RECEIVE LIGHT which actually blocks you from seeing and does not help you.
