This tape measure works well for taking body measurements. It automatically locks in place every 1/2 to 1 inch and has a hook to attach the other end of the tape to when you're measuring to hold it in place. Once it's attached, you press the red button and the tape tightens up to give you an accurate measurement. When you're done you press the same button to roll the tape back up. It feels like it's good quality and will hold up well. (I've had another similar style tape measure before and the retracting mechanism was cheap and broke soon after I received it.) If you need a body tape measure for fitting clothes or taking measurements when you're dieting, I can recommend this item.
