Too big for a #4.5 dog. The fabric slips out of the rings on the shoulder, so the sling goes deeper and deeper. I sewed the bottom to make it shorter, removed the rings and sewed the shoulder strap to the length I needed. The dog LOVES it - she is too small to walk and was rescued from Puppymill - so when I walk my other 2 dogs she rides in it quite relaxed and rides the ice rink.
