I usually check the rating after construction and then update the ratings over time. I was so disappointed with this thing after assembling it that it took me time to cool down. 4 months have passed and my attitude towards this matter has changed by 180. assembly notes. This product requires tension from the mat to bring everything together and align. This also requires threading each bungee through the mat and around the ring. This part is 100 times easier with second person. Mesh is also quite tricky as you have to assemble foam, mesh and structure at the same time. You can probably assemble this thing yourself, but it's a lot easier with a helper. My frustration would have been much less if I had started the project with a wizard. Otherwise everything is well coordinated and assembled. We've used it outside and inside. We mostly keep it inside and take it outside. It's lightweight, my wife and I carry it ourselves with no problem. We sometimes leave it outside but cover it with a tarp when not in use. Even after almost daily use, it still looks like new. My daughter who will soon be three loves it. The bungees give her more than enough bounce to jump and jump and jump. I feel safer knowing there aren't metal springs or other things that could hurt my daughter. She's been thrown into this thing in just about every way imaginable, and she's never had an "Oui," "Booboo," scratches, stains, or teary eyes. Seriously, tonight she did a somersault, landed upside down and crashed into the soft hoop and net. Laughing and giggling all the time. (That's what reminded me to write this review.) In summary, if you have help from the start, the build isn't bad. It will hold up well if you protect it from the weather (a tarp and elastic cord will do, too). This proved to me that it is safe for my daughter to play for hours. I wouldn't let my daughter jump on it unsupervised, but that goes for any trampoline and a kid her age. I highly recommend.
