Update: still going strong with the 3rd cat in the mix. Really high quality product. Pretty easy to clean and our cats love it. We removed part of the box because one of our cats became so cute in it. However, this did not affect the integrity of the scratching post. We have had this scratching post for over 6 months, it was definitely worth the money. I have two kittens, one is about 9 months old and the other 4 months old and we were looking for a cat scratching post near the window that would fit cats in full costume and has both a scratch mat and scratching posts and this was it the best price and we felt it was the most bang for our buck. It was easy to assemble. , the bed can be turned upside down and our 9 month old kitten with a very long body can lie comfortably in it. The various tiered sections are large enough for your average adult cat to lie down and our younger kitten to mouse enjoy. It seems pretty durable and light weight.
