Fits the blender perfectly and the handle is very comfortable! I still occasionally use the handleless bowl that came with the Artisan Mini, and it doesn't hurt if you can just hang onto the bottom with one hand to scoop out the dough. A pen is most useful when I'm washing the damn thing. It's quite difficult to hold a wet bowl in one hand from underneath while trying to clean it. I didn't measure it, but it also seems a bit wider at the top, making it easier to add ingredients. Overall this is a great bowl, although I think it's very expensive for what you get.
