My son is slim but tall. It suits him very well. true size. He wears an 8 in clothes so I bought him a small (8). Great fit. Please check the size chart as it is different from Walmart or Target Small size. We snowboarded in it and it stayed warm and dry. The material is very water-repellent. We have a white camo print and he loves it. It's a unique print and color scheme so you're unlikely to be confused with the other kids at school! We bought matching bibs and love them. Not only does it have a fleece bib, but it also has an adjustable waist for my tall and slender 8-year-old! His little sister is not that skinny and we tried it on her. The fit wasn't that great, but we managed to do it. If you have a smaller child for your height or a stockier child I would recommend trying before you buy.
