The disc has been out for a year and a half and was suddenly protected. He was left alone, resting comfortably at home, with the occasional tweak here and cut there. This results in the destruction of numerous video recordings and projects. The rest is bearable, really. Experts agree that since recovery attempts yielded no results, the disk likely has faulty sectors near its beginning, or that one of its read-write heads has degraded. Therefore, you should not assume that the data will be retrievable if the disk is suddenly covered. Who cares, but I don't think such risks are reasonable, and I certainly won't be buying any more of that garbage.
