I have tried other calming collars in the past and they have been successful - not sure how psychosomatic it is but we removed them from 2 of our 3 cats after a few days because they absolutely seemed to hate them. We're trying to train these cats to only live indoors and it's been a week since we haven't released them. They seemed to calm down but I decided to try collars as a safety net. Soon they were screaming and pacing even more than before. And every time they approached me, it smelled like a garbage can. Our older cat is still wearing hers and seems fine, but I don't know if they help create a harmonious environment.
