Review on Vintage Resistant Backpack with Spacious Rucksack Compartment by Emily Morgan

Fantastic backpack that I have thoroughly tested

I like to double check my purchases before I write a review. In this case, I really put it to the test. I was looking for a backpack that would look stylish, be durable, versatile and primarily a travel backpack. I spent quite a bit of time researching and although this one cost about $10 more than the others, it was worth it. Here's the summary: Fabric: thicker than expected and more "luxurious" than expected. This backpack is quite stylish. The fabric reminds me of the fabrics I've seen on Prada products. This is how it will look good in the city. Surfaces and latches: Surfaces are fine. Not skin. At this price I don't care. The latches are good although the edges are a bit sharp. That's the drop I see in this backpack. All zippers are well stitched, all seams are even. Size: This is the perfect size for me. It's small enough to fit under the airplane seat in front of you and doesn't overwhelm you when carried (so it looks good in an urban setting). However, it contains a surprising amount. On the trip I've just returned from, it's been widely commented on and called the "magic backpack" because I could fit so many things in it and it looked relatively small. Indicators: Just got back from a 3 week trip to Chile and took this as hand luggage. Besides being my carry-on, I wanted to use it both in Santiago and in the nicer hotels I've stayed at. It also served me as a backpack on several hikes, some of which were intense. I didn't want to carry a tech backpack, so I figured this option would work. And it worked great. Keep in mind that it doesn't have a waist belt and it's not a technical backpack. But I've taken it on several hikes in the Atacama Desert on Easter Island, and also on several 9-mile hikes in Torres del Paine, Patagonia. It has endured a lot of dust/dirt in the Atacama (was broken down into dust), heat, humidity and light rain in Easter Island and rain, wind and mud in Patagonia. It also survived and served as a footrest for me during flights between those locations. I've wiped it down a couple of times to remove any small stains or smudges and it looked just as good when I got it back last night as it did the day I opened it. I'm attaching a photo from one of the last few days in Patagonia. So, although I bought it as a carry-on and travel backpack, it will join my "nice" backpacks for everyday use - which I wasn't expecting. Conclusion: This is stealing for the price. If you buy it, you will get compliments. You will also be impressed by the performance.
