We first used it on a 7lb brisket in our electric smoker on Labor Day. I usually smoke brisket at a rate of 1.5 hours per pound, this time I set the temperature to 185 and in 9 hours and 45 minutes it was done. I checked the temperature with an instant read thermometer and it was spot on. Suffice to say my guests ate the brisket. The device was easy to set up and the old eyes read the display easily. I left the probe in for the duration of the cooking and attached the display to the smoker door.
