There were 50 balls in the bag, but unfortunately 42 of them were white or transparent. Very disappointing. I love love love Pearl purple is hard to find and pearl pink is beautiful. I just wish there were more of these in the pack. I want more of these colored pitballs in this size but I'm hesitant to order them again because when they go back to being white and transparent I'll be very upset. I only want to buy colored balls as there are already too many white and transparent balls in my ball pit, but unfortunately it seems that all these packages contain predominantly white and transparent filler balls. I don't understand why, are they cheaper to manufacture or something? Remember that 1 bag of balls will not fill the ball pit. The more balls you get, the less you need. The smallest balls are usually around 2.2 inches and one size larger than 2.4 inches. 3 inches is about the size of balls for balls at Chuck E Cheese and other commercial establishments. I find this size is a good middle ground, too big for a toddler to swallow but not so big that he has a hard time grasping it. To fill a marble pit you will probably need around 400 marbles of that size. I really wish the stars came in pearl purple and pearl pink, they are so pretty.
