This product was used on my 1978 Ford F-150 Short Bed. This is an excellent product when used properly. I sanded my bed down to bare metal and washed it down with soap and water. I then acid etched the metal and then primed the bare metal with a POR-15 anti-corrosion coating. This is key, if you look at some of the other reviews they don't apply the product properly and it flakes off. After applying an anti-corrosion coating, I sanded the frame lightly, causing the surface of the POR-15 to become rough. After wiping the dust off I stuck the OEM cover on and it's a fantastic product that has lasted over a year without chipping, cracking or peeling. There's a reason this product is labeled as professional use. If you can't follow the instructions look elsewhere, this is not for amateurs!
