I bought two of these thinking I would fix my iPad 3rd gen and my daughter's iPad. (My grandson finds things we think we hid.) I went through the entire installation process on the first one and shot the film only to find what I thought was a crease in the film was a tear was. The seller cannot, of course, assume any guarantee for parts that are no longer available. The seller could not know if it arrived cracked or broken during installation. I get it. So, THIS IS YOUR WARNING! IF YOU ARE NOT SURE IF THE SCREEN IS CRACKED OR THE FOIL COATING HAS A WRINKLE, SIMPLY TRY A TEAR AND SEND IT BACK. You might think that's going to stop me from leaving a good lead. No, it's in me and in my misunderstanding. I didn't give it 5 stars because I was a teacher and I think the phenomenon of overrating in general reduces the value of a review. So I apply the same principle to this review. The product is actually very good. The instructions were clear. Before placing an order, I watched several videos on YouTube. Removing the old screen wasn't difficult. I was glad that this replacement screen comes with a frame. Before ordering I didn't even know what a bezel is. But my original bezel was destroyed by the dealer who replaced the screen the last time it broke. (I also found out that the retail shop threw away 2 of the 4 screws holding the LCD screen for repairs and since I didn't have them I didn't have to use them either. That's a good reason to do it yourself .) Now my iPad looks almost like new again, the touchscreen works. The home button works. Time will tell, but I suspect that if there are problems with this screen in the future, either my grandson or I will have something to do with it.
