First the DS100+ was not found in the preinstalled configuration files of my Vera Plus. Shouldn't be a problem, I just used the generic Zwave device and turned it on. I didn't understand or realize that this would show up as two devices, a motion sensor and a window/door sensor. It didn't make any sense to me, so I removed it. Then I did a few more tries and after resetting the device I finally got it back and set it up with one of the two devices that set it up. The motion sensor reports the battery level and the door sensor of course the open or closed state. I like the profile of the device and the use of 2 AAA batteries comes in handy when they need to be replaced. This works, but doubles the number of items on your Vera device list, making it a mess if you buy too many of them.
