Great quality for me and durability for holding my GoPro and attached tripod (short 20" pole, not too heavy) . While I'm taking a picture with my camera, my GoPro stays right next to me and can switch directly to video mode when my subjects get very close (whale photography). I find it a bit difficult to click in lock mode due to severe arthritis in both hands, but it works great. Highly recommend for anything that isn't super heavy that you want to pick up and use and then put away until you need it again. The code is very long. With the extended GoPro stick, I have no problem with it being long enough to limit the shooting range. Best thing I've bought to make taking pictures on a boat in the sea easier and safer.
