, I bought a Kodak AZ901 to revive my passion for photography, which I couldn't live out with my current camera. I've been looking for the best and most affordable camera for a while now. I decided to stick with the Kodak AZ901 to see if it would satisfy me. Day one: I checked out the wide range, took a few pictures of different things around the house and found the autofocus to be a bit odd to use. as well as a ring around the lens. It took me a while to get a picture I was ok with. One annoying thing about the Kodak AZ901 is that the macro mode isn't an adjustable option and it's limited to the minimum zoom, it can't capture details of a distant subject. If I can't invest in a tripod, I have to worry. Day Two: I took a few more shots but noticed that the gold band around the lens was starting to separate from the camera. I attached a small thin piece of tape to secure the gold head. I wish the gold band was metallic with a clear, smooth finish to give it a premium look. Maybe I'm asking too much. I made some videos with the camera to test it out and while the picture quality is great, the sound quality could be improved with a mic jack or something. If you move the camera even slightly during recording, you will hear the camera mechanisms in action in the video. JK Imaging (or Kodak.) could have tuned the mic so even the wind didn't affect the audio quality of the video. I'm just considering whether the Kodak AZ901 is really the right one for me. I like its design and it's heavy in my hands, which doesn't bother me. I'll give you a week to decide. Update 10/20/19 I returned the camera due to freezing issues and other reasons. It was a good camera, but it's better to use it as a secondary camera than the main camera. The video of it still impresses me, so I'll give it to him.
