It seems to work best in household products

As far as I can tell it works (smell). We tried it before and after. It doesn't matter when you spray it, except it has an obscene old vegetable smell for about 5 minutes. After that, it eats the smell of smoke and other odors. after that it doesn't smell anymore. I probably won't order again. Since we have to spray it quite often in the house. So I'm looking for something that eliminates the smell a little more but not as much bad smell.
