Very satisfied Best in Controllers

I think 4 stars is perfect for this product. It's a lot of fun to use, with a few issues. I used the steering wheel to play Forza 3 and it was great. It's way better than a controller and I enjoy playing it. I also have a Nascar Inside Line and only used the steering wheel in this game for a short time. When I first got behind the wheel, the first thing I tried to do was play the Nascar game. As I drove, the car itself turned a little to the left. I was worried the steering wasn't working properly, but I felt like it was just pitching the car for the track as you're always turning left, so it made sense. When I pulled onto the freeway, the car was going straight, so I knew the steering was fine. I just need to get used to holding the steering a little to the right when driving in a straight line, which is difficult, but I think over time it will be doable. .Now let's get away from the gameplay and go straight to the steering wheel. I find the steering wheel small, but you get used to it so quickly that I don't see the size as a disadvantage. After some use, I noticed that the wheel turns left a little easier than right, probably due to the fact that I turn left more often, so the left side wears out a bit more. It doesn't matter and after impact it will probably rotate to the right with the same resistance. The shifters are very comfortable, a bit noisy, they make a clicking noise when you shift, but if you get dragged into gameplay it most likely won't bother you. Finally, there's a slight squeak when I turn this far, it's not too loud, it's not distracting, but it's there. I have a feeling the more I use it the more it will go away, but if it stays like this forever I really don't mind. I've also read some reviews where people complain about the pedals, but they all wear shoes and they all have the same problem: they step on both pedals instead of one. I play barefoot or in socks and I really like the pedals so if you're having trouble try to take your shoes off. (Note: Setting up the wheel to play can be tricky, I put it on a fairly large board that rests in my lap, there are suction cups underneath to keep it pretty snug, this setup works for me but I don't know if the wheel sits well in your lap so you might have to get creative) All in all I'm very happy with this wheel, it's way better than a controller. There are little things here and there to remind you that it's not worth a few hundred, but for the asking price I think it's worth it. If you've never raced a balance bike before, get ready for a big change. At Nascar Inside Line, I cornered the car and just held the joystick to the left, and it was pretty easy to understand. But if you turn the steering wheel all the way to the left then you roll up and go ha ha. Update: after a few months on this bike I'm even happier with it. I'm way better at driving a Nascar game so this is an absolute blast. As expected, the wheel improved after breaking in. Turning right now has the same resistance as turning left, so it's not annoying, and the wheel squeak is gone, which is nice. In the Nascar game, the car is hard to control in traffic, but I had the same problem with the controller, so I think this is only part of the difficulty of the game.

Pros
  • Easy to set up
Cons
  • Good overall but...
