As I slowly transitioned from a young, carefree city dweller to an aging, bitter weirdo, I've become increasingly selective about the coffee I drink. I spent years looking for a good French Roast, looking for good or bad results, until I ordered San Francisco Bay about a year ago, which I've ordered half a dozen times since. The beans always arrived fresh, dark and shiny, with a distinctive aroma only found in fresh, well-roasted coffee. I've used it in a cone filter, French press, espresso maker, and variations of the K-cup (I have a Bunn K-cup machine with a loose set attachment), all to great effect. To be honest I was overwhelmed by the occasional negative reviews given my experience. Maybe I just got lucky; or it could be that a particular brand of coffee is one of those things, like love actually, the color pink, or bats, that you either love dearly or fiercely despise.
