Review on ASICS Women's Gel-Venture 6 Trail Running Shoes: Unparalleled comfort and performance for women runners by Maurice Arnold

Ideal for high arches! Help my leg pain!

In short: These shoes are great. The only drawback is that the back runs a bit high up to the ankles, which only bothers me a bit when walking. No problem with running. Long story: These shoes seem to be helping my tendinitis/plantar fasciitis. I've always worn Brooks (Ghost) - great shoes - but my foot problems haven't gotten any better, which has severely limited my mileage. I ran two runs in these shoes. After the first run I had less pain and on the second run I could run forever! It was easy! The main advantages of this shoe: ideal for high arches, excellent cushioning that absorbs shock in the heels and balls of the feet, it fits snugly on the heel. It was nondescript and felt sturdy and almost cheap. But running was really a testing ground for her. I will buy more. I think part of my foot problems in the past was not knowing I had a high arch. When I bought them I did a "wet test" before purchasing to make sure they fit. Naturally high arches. Those who don't like their shoes being too tight around the ankles might not like it.
