I love the quality of this collar and it fits my dog well around the neck, but when my 16lbs Chiweenie is walking next to me with no tension on the leash, the martingale hoop area adds an additional inch of length that makes the metal clip on our leash constantly knock into his legs. I tried this collar on our mini poodle and the same thing happened. I think if they were taller/bigger it wouldn't be an issue but because they have short legs, it hangs low enough to hit them. We have had this collar for 2 years and use it every day and it still looks brand new! I just have to keep the leash taught so it doesn't hang low. Amazing quality!
