A 128 gigabyte stick is actually 117 gigabytes in size because the formatting system takes up a certain amount of space. The drive comes in X-Fat format, which is quite common for flash drives where you plan to store larger files. I reformatted the drive to NTFS as it is more compatible with more of my devices. I think formatting a new flash drive is a good idea anyway since you never know what bits of software are left on it by someone who touched it before you. Format transfer with very good speed. Overall I think this is a very well made drive, it looks good, it has decent transfer speeds, what more could you ask for?
