Review on F Color Waterproof Floating Compatible Samsung by Richard Mangum

Revainrating 5 out of 5

which can tear the clear plastic or result in part loss - it's all one piece and easy to use

We've used them a number of times and loved them. They didn't fall more than 3-5 feet, but that's all I need. Because of the pivoting mechanism on top, we don't have to worry about shifting the part, which can cause the clear plastic to break or lose the part - it's all one piece and easy to use. One of ours (black) came with clear plastic that's *slightly* offset from the hard plastic latch part, making it difficult to open and close, and we didn't trust it that much, but since it passed the dive test anyway, we use it still use him for things like rafting in Helen etc. (not fully submersible only for snorkeling in Mexico). They are good for both freshwater and saltwater, although there seems to be a problem with the outside build up of residue over time. So wash them fairly quickly, especially if you use them in chlorine or salt water (just so the transparent part doesn't decompose - this doesn't affect its ability to hold water, it just distorts the image from time to time). The ONLY issue we had with using it was that the water was able to convince my screen that I was telling it to zoom in and out VERY slightly, which was annoying. But other than that, start the video from the water and then dive into the video (then take it out of the water to stop and trim the finials for release). Annoying, yes, but not the end of the world. And certainly not considering I've had the luxury of instant uploading footage, Facetime chatting underwater and FB live videos across multiple coral reefs. Things I couldn't do with a digital underwater camera - and I liked not having to carry anything with me.
