I have a smaller version of this and it is very good. This larger version is a gift, and if you're planning on making gravy for a large roast or turkey, it should soak up any drips. The key to this is the red cork. It uses air pressure to keep the liquid out of the spout while the grease separates. The handle has a nice rubberized texture. The strainer prevents vegetables and herbs from stewing in the juice flowing out of the pan.
