Overall this is a good tripod and holder for accessories. The metal construction of the tripod and boom is well thought out and relatively reliable. However, there is a problematic plastic bushing that attaches to a metal ball joint. This is the weak link in the design. The plastic piece doesn't fit the metal ball joint snugly and my device shakes and jiggles every time I touch my iPad, especially when using my Surface Book which is heavier. To solve this problem I injected epoxy into the gaps between the plastic and the metal fitting. After curing, the hesitation disappeared and the connection became tight - as it should be. It would be a five star product if the manufacturer corrected an apparent design flaw.
