Review on Sauder Beginnings 9-Cubby Storage Organizer: Compact and Stylish Cinnamon Cherry Finish by Ray Gist

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The build and the slightly smaller size are the main criticisms. Otherwise good shelves.

4 stars. 3-1/2 stars are not allowed here. There are things I like and things I don't like. 1. It's smaller than I expected. it appears to be about 70% or 80% the size of the ClosetMaid version. So there is not much storage space. I wasn't expecting this, but it worked in my favor. It fit in a corner where a ClosetMaid version wouldn't have fit. But it doesn't go with all the stuff that goes with ClosetMaid. 2. Between the instructions and the design, it's a good idea to have 2 people assemble this. The ClosetMaid version can be created by one person in less than 30 minutes. It takes almost 2 hours. This is because the design is confusing and making a mistake means taking your work apart and starting over. The instructions are not as complete as the ClosetMaid version. Although I read somewhere that people put this on their walls, I would steer clear of it. I think it's too heavy for the wall. It will be a good bookshelf for regular reading books. Not sure if large reference books will fit in. When he's together, he seems to learn. But you'll say a few choice words as you put it together. Structure and size are my criticisms of it. Otherwise you will love it.
