Cheaper alternative to CamRanger

I bought this as a cheaper alternative to CamRanger. It serves its purpose with minimal problems. My use case involves remotely starting/viewing video on the 7dii as a second camera when recording video. I have not fully tested the remote shutter release. I purposely tried to crash the app or device to see how bad 'bad' could be while capturing video, but couldn't find a permanent cause of the crash. When it crashed or froze, a quick app or camera reset got me back to work quickly. As this will be my backup/coverage camera I'm fine with that. Pros: iOS support, easy setup, relatively reliable. Cons: non-removable battery, the app MUST be in the foreground (putting the iPad/phone to sleep) - this is actually an Apple quirk. For comparison I used a hacked version of CamRanger with a TP-Link router and modified firmware with a Samsung phone. In this scenario with longer reload times, several failures occurred. I'm much happier with CamFi. In this scenario with longer reload times, several failures occurred. I'm much happier with CamFi. In this scenario with longer reload times, several failures occurred.
