Review on Anyray Replacement: GE WB36X10003 40W Microwave Light Bulb, Cool White 6000K - 2-Pack Bulbs by Charles Collier

These lamps have been replaced with original lamps in this 13 year old GE Profile microwave oven. I agree with other reviewers that they emit a bright light when the main light setting is on, but don't light up when the setting is dimmed to the 'night light' position. For me this is not a problem, I just needed a backlight above the stove. But a word of caution to those replacing existing lamps! The manufacturer apparently uses glue when inserting the original bulbs into their sockets to minimize wobbling during shipping, and after 13 years this 'glue' has firmly held the bulbs in place. I broke both bulbs trying to unscrew them and removing the threaded portion of the bulb was almost impossible, especially with the bulbs being very awkwardly positioned. I can finally report success and the new bulbs do exactly what I need.
