This was a 6th birthday present for my sons. Assembly was easy, installation took about 10 minutes out of the box, and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. This takes some getting used to, but is to be expected from anything that has fine tuning. We had a full moon last night/morning so I took it outside and played with it a bit. Once everything is set up correctly it is very easy to use the finderscope to find stars/moon etc for telescopic viewing. It comes with a different lens for more viewing options, which is pretty cool. When using it, I almost forgot that this is actually a toy, and any restrictions must be due to this fact. BUT, having said that, this is a fantastic toy telescope for any child or young beginner. It works quite well and I believe it can stimulate any child's spirit of discovery. Definitely recommended for the price, functionality and ease of use. And my son loves it too.
