This mouse pad doesn't pick up the Kone EMP sensor like I was hoping. I wish them still mass-produced Alumic. This interface was the best! This mat is nice and thick and works well for non-competitive play. I recently noticed that the EMP mouse jumps. I put the alum down and to my surprise realized what I was about to give up. There probably can't be a better of both worlds, ie high DPI with a thick and comfortable padding.
