An excellent registrar for your purposes. It is very convenient for dictation, recording lectures and other live performances. The sound quality is good. It has a number of handy features such as an integrated USB port, a micro SD slot and flexible file formats. The controls are easy to use. I bought it for remote dictation with Dragon Dictate. Nuance praises its compatibility, and I found it almost as accurate as a desktop mic once the workout is complete. It's not intended as a music field recorder - other brands are better suited for the task. If you want to use it for dictation, you'll find it hard to beat and the price is very reasonable.
