As an "intermediate" I thought I was ripe for this wonderful pattern... unfortunately my eyes are bigger than my skill level. Luckily my friend, the seam ripper works great. I'll practice "stitch and flip"... no matter how well someone explains this technique, it still works with biased fabric. I didn't know I could stretch the little background squares by pulling the corners too hard: Oops! So if you're not an advanced quilter but still want to give it a try: Go for it! (Just grab some extra background and leaf fabric... practice with that before messing with the pumpkins!). In general, the instructions are easy to follow. It is very important to organize the neckline of the fabric. And it makes really nice pumpkins!
