A critical warning about this device before rating. I have the original Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 (Sprint). I researched this carefully before ordering the keyboard. Samsung has several keyboards and there's some confusion about which keyboard goes with which device (see many 1* reviews below for examples of these), so be careful: do your research *before* you order or it'll be a huge one disappointing experience. ----- Well said: the keyboard arrived in the mail yesterday. Today I connected it to my tab's power bank and put the tab in the dock. It fitted perfectly and turned on the screen immediately (tab was on but in sleep mode). In my testing, the dedicated keys worked flawlessly, and the keyboard played well despite its 3/4 size. The only function key I won't be using is the internet button, as I downloaded the Opera browser onto my tablet and surfed the web with it. Opera is far superior to the built-in browser and Firefox browser as both are prone to freezing and freezing. ----- Now the fun part: Tab is more responsive to keyboard than screen! Nice! This should be a direct connection, not a capacitive screen touch (where the touch must be interpreted before a response is given). ----- The only downside I see is that I have to take it out of the case to dock it. Since this is a factor for all docking devices and I have a basic leather protective case for the Samsung Galaxy 7.0 tabs, I just slide it out and attach it. I also have a case for a Bluetooth keyboard similar to "Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard + Leather Stand Case for Samsung Galaxy Tab 7". This case is worn and a bit bulky. Bluetooth connectivity works well but isn't as integrated with the tablet's features --- -- Another note: some reviewers have complained about the lack of a horizontal port. I can understand their frustration and can only say that some Compromises have to be made. The station could be replaced with a horizontal version, since it looks like Samsung provided this possibility, but given that these tablets are over 2 years old and have been replaced by many other models, see I don't think this ever happens Shipping I have *NO* complaints.- ---- I plan to use this keyboard for desktop and some travel, plus the Zahn blue keyboard case for field use. All in all definitely a 5* device! ----- Important Note: After using this keyboard, I noticed one thing you need to be aware of. When the tablet is 100% charged, it turns on the screen. This may be a feature of the tablet, but it's a bit annoying to plug the tablet into the keyboard dock at night, turn the screen off (sleep), and then watch the screen turn on.
