I am a personal groomer to my 6 small dogs and am always on the lookout for the perfect pair of scissors and based on the rave reviews I decided to try these but...I'm not as impressed as everyone seems to be. They're good enough, but nothing special. I find them to be a bit thicker and less sophisticated than some of the shears I have that were actually sold at a lower price. Yes, they are sharp and nicely cut, but immediately, a few minutes after tending to my smallest pup, they started squeaking loudly. I thought they were ready to use and perfectly lubricated, but no, I had to find my own oil and make it. They do a good job but I would put them in the $20-$30 price range in terms of quality and I think $50 is a little expensive for this particular pair.
