Review on 3M PPS 2.0 H/O Pressure Cup with Air Hose, 26124: Ideal for Thick High-Viscosity Latex Paints and Coatings by Andrew Aldana

Revainrating 3 out of 5

EDIT: A little pricey but the product seems to work (but not for DIY) - And great customer support

I had some issues with the liner completely breaking apart when filled with sticky paint but when I thinned Continue the color, it seems to be working properly. Being able to swivel the gun (T70 on a Fuji Stage 4 turbo) in all directions really helps to get a consistent finish. I used a Dunn Edwards Aristoshield and a PPG Breakthrough 250 VOC H/O pressure cup with a 1.8mm tip set and a 1.5mm tip set respectively. It seems like it takes some time to adjust the thinner and filler for almost every color but I would say the cup helps a lot. The seller of my purchase was Tool Warehouse and I can't say enough good things about their support. The first mug seemed to have sealing issues so instead of sending it back to Revain I called the tool depot and spoke to Sherry who told me they would send another one out immediately and arrange the return. Not only did they do exactly that (and in that* order), Sherri was the most understanding and helpful support person I've met in a long time. Dan! It restored the confidence in customer service that I lost many years ago. Really great service. EDIT: After completing my kitchen cabinet project I changed my rating from 5 stars to 3. The 3M spray kit seems made for professionals who can afford to throw away liners and lids after every spray. I've had numerous issues with the seals on liners and lids when they set during the day or when I add more material to the liners. Repeatedly removing the caps from the liners resulted in numerous poor seals, such that the liner did not rupture completely. All in all, a $200 investment could have been avoided without too much suffering and pain.

Pros
  • Hands free working
Cons
  • Very expensive
