Great gift set, good value for money. Although there are no instructions, replacing the nib is quite easy if you know calligraphy pens. I love the fact that all but one of the nibs have a small indentation in each nib where ink can stay/pool as you write. 5 of these springs have a closed recess but the other 5 don't, so be careful with them. The other nib, already attached upon arrival, is a real dip pen nib that needs to be dipped more often than the others as it has no indentation just a tiny hole to hold the ink drop. I have the gold pen holder version and it's well weighted, quite heavy and shouldn't tip over when you put a pen in it. The pen sits on top of the holder's edge and the pen is hidden inside. This ensures the pen doesn't press against it as it doesn't touch the bottom of the holder and it also doesn't appear to touch the sides so the ink doesn't spill. The tiny bottle of ink arrived in a small zipped bag in case it leaked in transit... It didn't happen. I was impressed by the care with which this was done. Yes, it's a tiny bottle, but that means less spillage. lol I've already ordered my favorite ink for tomorrow and am looking forward to a great day of my pens learning calligraphy again which I sadly gave up a few decades ago.
