I've used this stuff on my guns and knife blades for decades. Works great on grease, dirt and surface rust. Leaves a protective mirror finish. I recently used it on an old American Schrade Uncle Henry Golden Spike that I bought off eBay. The markings on the blade show the production date from 1980 to 1994 so you can imagine what the 1095 carbon steel and brass guard and pommel looked like. Flitz polished the brass to a high luster and removed all surface rust and 90% of the blade's natural stains. Some call it a patina, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I wanted it to shine as much as possible. This material is made in the USA right in my home region. Highly recommended.
