I'm on my first replacement because the one I bought failed after a month. Now, 2 months after the replacement, the red lamp has also gone out on this one. And now it's too late for me to ask for another replacement. It's cool at first and can really give your room a new look, but plan on getting more than one or just skip this one and get another one because it will only last a month or just past the return date. Over time, the red laser will get dimmer and dimmer until you can tell it's there. But the blue light gets so bright that if you unscrew the kaleidoscope's cap, you can see the beam in mid-air. I think this is one of the circuits that fails over time and causes the blue laser to be driven by the red. Could be potentially dangerous at this point. I would provide pictures but all I can offer is how it looks after messing it up because I didn't think to take pictures when it worked.
