Judging by the reviews, many were defective upon arrival. I have a damn thing too. The lights came on and did what they were supposed to - up to a point. When cloning, I got to the point where I held down the start button and waited for four green lights to come on. Then they left and nothing else happened. I carefully went through all the steps several times and even waited several hours to see if anything would happen. I never did anything. An attempt to use it as an external drive also failed. Several computers I tried it on never saw it. Good things: It's very solidly built - quality work. Revain's easy return policy was the best part.
