Review on πŸ“’ Wolo Air Horn Big Bad Max 619 - 12 Volt, Black by Bill Howard

Just. Don't worry about that.

I bought these in January to replace the original horns on my old GMC van. I wish I could keep them. My first impression after plugging in the horn was that it sounded like a truck horn, but not very loud when the hood was closed (aimed at the exit under the left bumper). Low frequencies sound very weak when there is no power behind them. As a musician I know that. I wish I had thought about that before I bought this. Yes, it has a barrel that looks like air horns. but without the power of the air horn, the sound does not propagate at all. it basically sounded like I ran over a very big goose while using it. The original horns on the van were higher, but they caught your attention much better. The horn disappeared about two months ago. Instead, it sounded like I was adding banana and strawberries with milk. All I heard was a loud hum that was almost as loud as a horn. If I had been happy with this thing to begin with, I might have tried to fix it. But actually I was glad it didn't work out because it justifies the fact that I got proper horns again. I suggest going to a junkyard and removing the horns from a '70 Cadillac or other American made car. They rarely stop working and can wake up the neighbors. Take them from several different cars and combine them. The combination would be outrageous. Don't waste money on it.
