I received this board and immediately connected it to the u-center software downloaded from u-blox. The NEO M8N datasheet states that its maximum power requirement is 67 mA, which an inexpensive USB-serial module easily supplied (I used the Sparkfun Basic CH340G, which is rated for 600 mA).I was pleasantly surprised that it easily locked 12 GPS and GLONASS sats while sitting indoors on my desk, using only the included passive antenna. The module comes with Molex 1.25mm PicoBlade connectors and cable. The GPS uses the RX TX serial pins, and the compass uses the I2C pins. My only wish would be that the board would bring out the PPS signal to the connector or a solder pad, rather than simply attaching it to an on-board LED. Several people have shown how to hack similar U-Blox breakout boards to obtain high-precision GPS-locked frequencies, and it requires soldering a small wire to the LED's resistor.
