To be honest, I didn't even know about the Braun blenders. I was a bit surprised when I came across this blender. And fascinated. And then I read about it, watched the video on YouTube and decided to order. I'm glad I did. This is an amazing blender. The first thing we made with this blender was some smoothies. I think that's a good test for a blender because frozen fruit and ice cream is certainly not like tomatoes or bananas or anything, they're very hard. Well, this blender handles frozen fruit and ice cream with ease. And then mixed into the perfect cocktail. Well, I was a bit skeptical about setting up this "ice breaker" blender because I've never had a blender that crushed ice really well. But this blender did its job perfectly. It turned out really decent crushed ice. I think this blender's unusually sharp blade and powerful 1600w motor might have something to do with it. Finally, the cleaning feature of this blender is amazing. You simply add some warm/hot water and three drops of dish soap and this blender creates a purifying tornado. It's cool to look at and makes the blender very clean. I like it. I know there are much cheaper blenders out there, but this blender isn't for everyone. This is a blender for people who value form as much as function and are willing to pay more for it. And I think Braun has done a really good job for these people with this offer. We love it.
