A little short story. I bought a new 2019 BMW R 1250 GS Adventure. I took it to the dealer for an initial 750 mile service and was billed $325 for the service which included oil change, axle oil change and basically some other stuff like voltage check etc. When I received a motorcycle. at home i noticed that the oil was overflowing, i had to drain about half a liter to bring it to the top of the gauge. I knew then that I would service my bike. I received the GS911 today and it was up and running in just a few minutes. You have to follow the instructions and it's very simple. It's a wealth of information and things you can do with it. First thing I want to do is reset the service light. You can set the number of miles and the dates according to your preference. I set mine at 4000 miles and a year just to remind myself to change my oil if I forget. I didn't have any codes or codes that needed clearing, but I can see how easy it would be to identify and do. I went through all the information it shows you and was quite amazed. Voltages, temperatures, switch positions and more. I will be using it to flush my brakes after my year is up. It may take a while to pay back, but I definitely feel like it's worth it.
